10/28/20 Covid response update:
Hello,
Thank you for checking my website. I am currently taking appointments. I am scheduling to allow for adequate cleaning time and time to air out the office between appointments.
I have implemented extensive cleaning and safety protocols based on all of the research and massage professional's guidelines. The office is well ventilated with windows and an exhaust fan. I also have two medical grade air purifiers for now and for when I need to keep windows closed as the weather turns cold. If you would like to come in for a massage, you will be required to wear a mask. I will also be wearing a mask. You will be required to sign a waiver/consent form. Please call if you have ANY questions. When you schedule, you will be sent details regarding protocols in place for receiving your treatment. I am sorry for any inconvenience, but it is out of concern for your health and the health of those around you.
Thank you,
Kim

Mountain Lotus Wellness Program (MLWP)
For most of my life I have been dedicated to health and wellness. I am passionate about my career as a massage therapist and feel so fortunate to get to work with so many clients committed to their health. The MLWP is a program that discounts the cost of your massage if you commit to one massage a month (or some number of weeks that you decide) for at least 6 months. It is best to schedule your next massage before leaving your appointment but it is not required. This is a commitment you make to yourself. You will benefit physically, mentally, and fianacially. Please ask for more details if you are interested. |
||||
Therapeutic Massage | ||||
This is an intuitive and integrative massage drawing from a range of techniques - the perfect choice for a full body massage. Techniques include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Acupressure, Myofascial Release and Reiki. This massage is very relaxing, helps relieve pain, is deep and specific where needed, and is energetically balancing.
Sports Massage | ||||
After a day of outdoor activity, or before, or after, a competition, a sports massage will revive and renew sore muscles. You will be able to recover more quickly and
easily, enabling you to get back to what Jackson Hole has to offer. If your pain is caused by overuse of certain muscles (repetitive use injury) from working too much, playing too hard, or from a specific injury that you are rehabilitating, this is a great option to reduce pain and continue on the road to recovery. |
||||
Reflexology | ||||
Reflexology is a form of bodywork that focuses primarily on the feet and hands. The feet are basically a map of the body. By applying pressure to certain areas of the
feet, the practitioner is able to effect muscles, organs, glands, sinuses, joints and nerve pathways. A few benefits may include: deep relaxation, improved digestion and decreased
pain. This treatment begins with your feet being wrapped in steaming towels. You may choose if your session is focused on just the reflex points on your feet, points on your feet and hands, or combine foot reflexology with some neck and scalp massage. The session lasts one hour and can be performed with the client fully clothed. |

Prenatal and Postpartum Massage
Kim, at Mountain Lotus Massage Therapy is certified in Prenatal and Postpartum massage. Prenatal massage is an amazing experience for the mother to be. It is best if received during the second and third trimester. Prenatal massage focuses on specific areas of tension experienced during preganacy. It is also extremely relaxing and rejuvenating. Prenatal massage nurtures both the mother to be, and through her, her baby. The massage is done in the side lying position supported comfortably by many pillows. Side lying is the recommended position for prenatal massage. Take care of yourself or the "mother to be" in your life. Visit the Prenatal Massage page |

Hot Stone Massage | ||||
A Hot Stone Massage is very relaxing and warming. Heated stones are placed on your muscle to warm them deeply. The stones are also used to massage the muscles. The penetrating heat melts away tension. The heat also increases circulation to speed recovery of sore muscles. This is a great option for a cold Wyoming day.
Reiki | ||||
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is an ancient form of healing, believed to have originated with Tibetan Buddhist Monks. It is a type of energy work that is used to accelerate healing, assist the body in cleansing toxins, and balance the flow of subtle energy by releasing blockages. It can help to release old trauma, heal old injuries, and help with emotional balancing. Reiki can be incorporated into a massage or it can be performed alone. In a Reiki session, the practitioner’s hands can either be laid on the client in a series of hand positions or their hands can hover just above the client. The practitioner can feel the flow of energy and holds her hand in each position until the energy flow subsides, which signals the time to move to the next position. Reiki can have profound healing effects. It may leave you feeling very relaxed, energized, renewed, and grounded.
